28th September 2016
Windsurfing: Stradbally Brandon bay
Wind Direction: SSW
Wind Stength: 20 - 35 mph
Surf / Sea State: Mast crunching waves
Air Temperature: 18
Sea Temperature: 15
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Looked at Gowlane but rather offshore though several rigging up. Jamie drove down saying Stradbally was the place. Went round and it was cross shore with one kitesurfer rigging. I tried 4.5 but wind had dropped by the time I got out so switched to 5m. It was better but never got very far out through the waves with lots of white water and massive waves further out. Decided for once it was too much for me and came in to discover two people had already broken masts. By the time I packed up Rob came in with a broken mast. With only half a dozen sailing that was a lot of masts!
